This Privacy Policy (the “Privacy Policy”) explains how GENERAL TECHNOLOGIES INC. (“we”, “us” or “our”), collects, uses, discloses, and retains information (the “Information”) that you (“you”, “your”) provide to us or which we otherwise collect when you access and use our website, ChartAI app, and any other of our services (collectively, the “Services”). The terms of this Privacy Policy are incorporated into and form part of our Terms of Service. To the extent of any conflict between this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service will apply.

- COLLECTION AND USE. Here we describe what Information, including Personal Information, we collect, and why and how we collect it. “Personal Information” means information that can be used to identify you (e.g., name, age, address, phone number).
What? Information that we may collect includes, but is not limited to: (i) name, address, email, and phone number; (ii) payment information; (iii) usage information pertaining to your use of the Services, including without limitation, personal and/or business information, and other information relating to transactions that may occur using the Services; and (iv) sensitive data such as biometric, medical, and information relating to children or youth.
Why? We may collect your Personal Information for the following purposes (the “Purposes”): (i) to provide, maintain and monitor your usage of the Services; (ii) to conduct internal reviews and improvements relating to the Services; (iii) to keep a record for legal purposes; (iv) to comply with regulatory requirements; (v) to manage Your Account: to manage your registration as a user of the Service. The Personal Data You provide can give you access to different functionalities of the Service that are available to you as a registered user; (vi) for the performance of a contract: the development, compliance, and undertaking of the purchase contract for the products, items, or services you have purchased or of any other contract with us through the Service; (vii) to contact you: to contact you by email, telephone calls, SMS, or other equivalent forms of electronic communication, such as mobile application’s push notifications regarding updates or informative communications related to the functionalities, products, or contracted services, including the security updates, when necessary or reasonable for their implementation; (viii) to provide you with news, special offers, and general information about other goods, services, and events which we offer that are similar to those that you have already purchased or enquired about unless you have opted not to receive such information; (ix) to manage your requests: to attend and manage your requests to us; (x) for other purposes: We may use Your information for other purposes, such as data analysis, identifying usage trends, determining the effectiveness of our promotional campaigns, and evaluating and improving our Service, products, services, marketing, and your experience; (xi) behavioral remarketing: we use remarketing services to advertise on third-party websites to you after you visit our Service. We, and our third-party vendors, use cookies to inform, optimize, and serve ads based on your past visits to our Service; (xii) to collect and process voice data: we use your voice input and other information to respond to your requests, provide the requested Service to you, and improve our services. We obtain your express consent to collect and process voice data and reaffirm consent periodically, especially when dealing with sensitive information. The collection and processing of voice data comply with all applicable privacy laws in British Columbia, including requirements for consent, purpose limitation, and data security; (xiii) to carry out any other purpose which is disclosed to you and for which you consent, or is otherwise permitted by applicable law; and (xiv) to reaffirm consent periodically for processing sensitive information.
How? We may collect Information from you, and any devices you use, through: (i) your access and use of the Services; (ii) our use of cookies and similar technologies to track and analyze user activity; and (iii) our use of web analytics services. We may also collect Information from third parties. We will protect any Personal Information we receive according to the practices described in this Privacy Policy, plus any additional restrictions imposed by the source of the Personal Information and applicable laws. We only collect and use Personal Information to the extent necessary to fulfill the Purposes.
- DISCLOSURE. Here we describe when and how we may disclose Personal Information.
When? We may disclose Personal Information as follows: (i) to third-party service providers in order to help us fulfill the Purposes (e.g., payment processors, web analytics services); (ii) to affiliates or third parties in the event of a proposed reorganization, merger, transfer, or other disposition of all or any portion of our business, assets, or equity, subject in each case to customary confidentiality agreements; (iii) to the extent disclosure is required or permitted by applicable law; and (iv) in the case of a privacy breach, as required by the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner (OIPC) and affected individuals.
How? We only disclose Personal Information to the extent necessary to fulfill the Purposes. We take reasonable measures to ensure that the rules set forth in this Privacy Policy are complied with when we disclose Personal Information to third parties. This may include, without limitation, obtaining contractual guarantees from third parties to implement appropriate technical and organizational measures in accordance with applicable law. Personal Information may be stored and processed in any country where we have facilities or in which we engage third-party service providers. By using our Services, and/or otherwise providing us with your Personal Information, you consent to the transfer of your Personal Information to countries outside of your country of residence. While such information is outside of Canada it is subject to the laws of the country in which it is held, which may have different Personal Information protection laws, and may be subject to disclosure to the governments, courts, law enforcement, or regulatory agencies of such other country. However, our practices regarding your Personal Information will at all times continue to be governed by this Privacy Policy.
- CONSENT. We will not process your Personal Information without your consent, unless we are permitted or required to do so by applicable law. Your consent may be express or implied, depending on the nature and sensitivity of the Personal Information, your reasonable expectations, and the circumstances surrounding the collection of the Personal Information. Express consent is when you willingly agree (e.g., orally or in writing) to the processing of your Personal Information for particular purposes. Implied consent is when: (a) you do not expressly give consent, but you volunteer Personal Information for obvious purposes that a reasonable person would consider appropriate in the circumstances; or (b) you are given notice and a reasonable opportunity to opt out of your Personal Information being processed for specified purposes, and you do not opt-out.
- RETENTION. We will retain your Personal Information as long as necessary to: (a) fulfill the Purposes; (b) protect our legal rights; (c) comply with applicable law; and (d) as per data retention requirements in accordance with our data destruction policies. We will securely delete or anonymize the Personal Information once it is no longer necessary for us to hold it. We are not responsible for any liability or loss you experience as a result of any such disposal of Personal Information.
- SECURITY. We utilize commercially reasonable security procedures and practices appropriate to the nature of the Personal Information we collect, use, and store. We do this to minimize the risks of loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, and alteration of Personal Information. However, no method of storage or transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
- RIGHTS. You have certain rights relating to your Personal Information, subject to applicable law, including without limitation: (a) the right to withdraw your consent to the processing of your Personal Information at any time (but please note that withdrawing your consent to the processing of Personal Information may impact your ability to use the Services); (b) the right to make a complaint regarding the processing of your Personal Information; (c) the right to a copy of your Personal Information; (d) the right to data portability to receive your information in a machine-readable format; and (e) the right to correction of your Personal Information. - CHILDREN’S PRIVACY. Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13 (“Children”). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your Children have provided us with Personal Information, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Information from children under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.
- COOKIES. Cookies are files with a small amount of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a website and stored on your computer’s hard drive. We use “cookies” to collect information. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. - VOICE DATA. By accessing or using the Voice Service, you agree to the collection and processing of voice data. This “Voice Data” may include information such as audio recordings from the microphone during your use of the Service. When you use our voice services, we collect and use your voice input and other information to respond to your requests, provide the requested Service to you, and improve our services. We obtain your express consent to collect and process voice data and reaffirm consent periodically, especially when dealing with sensitive information. The collection and processing of voice data comply with all applicable privacy laws in British Columbia, including requirements for consent, purpose limitation, and data security.
- LOG DATA. We may also collect information that your browser or mobile device sends whenever you visit our Service (“Log Data”). This Log Data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers, and other statistics.
- THIRD-PARTY SERVICES. We may use third-party services such as Google Analytics, Datadog, and Mixpanel to collect, monitor, and analyze this type of information to increase our Service’s functionality. These third-party service providers have privacy policies addressing how they use such information.
- LINKS TO OTHER SITES. Our Service may contain links to other sites not operated by us. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that third-party’s site. We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of every site you visit. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.
